Several undercover female deputies were used in connection with the arrests of men who responded to an ad about various sex acts.

A “Backpage” operation by the Los Angeles Regional Human Trafficking Task Force in Pomona resulted in six arrests, officials said Wednesday.
The operation was conducted between 3 p.m. and 11 p.m. Tuesday near Holt Avenue between Indian Hill Boulevard and the Orange (57) Freeway, said Lt. David Oliva of the Human Trafficking Bureau.
Several undercover female deputies were used in connection with the arrests of five men who responded to an ad about various sex acts, Oliva said. Another man was arrested for pimping based on observations of undercover personnel.
Seven female sex workers were identified during the operation and were offered assistance from the Coalition to Abolish Slavery and Trafficking.
The task force included the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, District Attorney’s Office and Department of Children and Family Services, Pomona Police Department, Homeland Security Investigations, the FBI and state parole agencies.
